Fables! This week we have been learning all about what a fable is, particularly focusing on the fable “The Hare and the Tortoise!” The children enjoyed this fable, particularly watching the old Disney version of it – which is very different to the animated films they see now! In particular we thought about the characters in their story and how we could describe them with adjectives, focusing on their appearance and their personality.

During Science this week we have learnt all about the parts of a flower and what each part’s job is.

In Numeracy this week we have been learning about coordinates. We’ve played a lot of battleships! The children also used their knowledge to decode secret messages and find hidden animals.
