Deputy Head – Miss Towers has been appointed as Deputy Headteacher for the school. She will take up her new position in September.
Fruit Scheme (Oak Site) – From September onwards we will be discontinuing the fruit scheme for the children on the Oak site, due to the very small number of children who actually have it. Please remember at break times the junior children are only allowed to bring fruit, cereal bars or a healthy snack to eat.
Parent Surveys – Your surveys should arrive later this week.
Sponsored Keep Fit – All the children completed their sponsored keep fit on Monday. We did it early to avoid the worst of the heat. Please send your money in as soon as possible.
Water Bottles – IT IS ESSENTIAL that EVERY CHILD in school has a NAMED water bottle in school at all times, especially during this hot weather. Children are only allowed water in them, (not juice). They should be taken home each day for cleaning and refilling.
Dinner Money – In September dinner money will be going up to £1.70 per day, £8.50 per week.
Extended Services Summer Play Scheme – Rugby and District Extended Services are running a playscheme from Monday 20th July to Friday 14th August at Lawrence Sheriff School, for children aged 8-12years. 9a.m to 4 p.m. £12.50 per day. There will be different themed activities each day – Sports, Art, Space, Crafts etc. For further information and Booking please e-mail Jo Fricker at frickerj@ashlawn.org.uk with your details. SUMMER FAIR
We will be having a non-uniform day on Monday 6th July in return for bringing in an item towards the Fair. (Tins, bottles, smellies etc.)
Raffle tickets – please sell as many as you can and return the money and counterfoils to school. If you would like more books, please ask at the school offices.
Fancy Dress – There will be a fancy dress competition for pre-school and school aged children. Parade and judging will take place at 2.30 p.m. |
