Christmas Concerts – Tickets for the two Key Stage 2 performances (5.30 and 6.30 pm.) have virtually all gone. We are therefore going to do another performance on Friday 14th December, at 9.30 a.m. Anybody that wanted extra tickets might like to consider coming to this performance instead. It is also an ideal opportunity for Grandparents to come along and watch the children performing. Admission will still be by ticket only, so please complete the slip at the end of this letter and return it to the school office. [Click here for the slip]
Oak site arrangements – All children on the Oak site will need to be back at school by 5.10 p.m. on Thursday 13th ready for the 5.30.p.m. performance please. They will then need to be collected at 7.30 p.m. following the 6.30 p.m. performance. Please wait in the hall and your child will come to you. If any child is to go home by themselves, please send a letter to your child's class teacher. They will not be allowed home by themselves without a letter. Parents at the first evening performance will leave by the kitchen, so that they can safely get out onto the car park. Parents are not allowed to park on the school car park on the Oak site in case we need access for emergency vehicles, but there will be limited parking on the Acorn site. (When parking please have consideration for the local residents).
Photographs – Parents who wish to video the performances must sit at the back of the hall. If you would like to take a photograph of your child there will be an opportunity at the end of the performance. Camera phones must not be used.
Can I remind parents that you must remain seated at all times during the performances, to comply with fire regulations, and please make sure that all mobile phones are switched off. Children under the age of 4 are not allowed at any performances. There will be a collection at the end of all performances in aid of a charity.
Christmas Lunch – This is on Wednesday 19th December for both sites and is open to all children. Cost £1.60. If you would like your child to have a Christmas dinner please complete the slip at the end of this letter and return it with your money, if your child does not normally have dinners. Children who normally have dinners may pay as usual on Monday morning. Please return the slip immediately as the cooks have to order their supplies. [Click here for the slip]
Christmas Fayre – Thank you to everyone who supported this event. It was very successful and raised £1280. Raffle tickets for the food hampers (3) will be on sale at the Christmas performances or you may send money into the school offices for them. 25p each or £1.00 per strip.
Christingle Candles – We have been asked by St Georges Church if we would hand out Christingle Candles. These can be returned to school or taken to the Christingle service at the church.
Fruit Scheme – (Oak site only) – It is time to review the fruit scheme again, as it has to be ordered in advance. We require you to commit to the next term and also to pay in advance. The cost is 50p per week. If your child does not have their fruit for whatever reason, there would be no credits.
Payment - £4.50 must be sent into school in an envelope, clearly marked, next week please, to enable us to order the fruit. Any payments made by cheque, should be payable to Paddox Primary School.
