Year 6 SAT Results

I would like to congratulate Year 6 on some outstanding SAT results. The following table shows their results compared to the National Average 2006.

Report Forms

This year we have changed the way that reports are written and I would welcome some feedback from parents on the new format. We have also tried, during parent interviews, to explain clearly to parents about your child's progress compared to National Averages. Attached to the reports are parent/child comment forms. Please complete these and return them to school at the beginning of next week.

Year 6 Algebra Challenge

Congratulations to the team who won the algebra challenge and brought back yet another trophy.

Town Sports

Well done to the children who competed at the Town Sports on Saturday. The children brought back a large number of medals.

Sports Day

Weather permitting, Reception and Key Stage 1 sports will take place at 9.30 a.m. next Monday morning, 16th July, on the Oak site. Key Stage 2, will take place at 1.30 p.m. on the same day. (This will be a team event). There are no reserve dates in case of bad weather, as we are too busy during the last week of term. Parents are welcome to come to both of these events.

Year 6 Leavers Assembly

This will take place on Thursday, 19th July at 9.15 a.m. in the hall. Parents are very welcome.

Dinner Money

To assist the office staff, could I ask parents to make sure that all dinner money for next week is sent in on Monday please.

In September dinner money will go up £1.60 per day/£8.00 per week.

Summer Fair

Thank you to everybody who made donations for the Summer Fair on Friday's non-uniform day. Would you please ensure that all completed raffle ticket stubbs and money are returned to school before Friday and send back any unsold raffle tickets. Donations for all the stalls are still being gratefully received. Cakes and plants should be sent in on Friday please.

Please support us on Saturday from 1.00 p.m. onwards come rain or shine!!

Toy Day

Each class will have a toy day on the last Friday (20th July).

End of Term

School ends at the normal time on Friday 20th July and re-opens on Tuesday 4th September at 8.55 a.m.
