Harvest Assembly

Our harvest assembly will take place in the Oak site hall on Friday 19th October, at 9.15 a.m.

Parent Interviews

Hopefully you have all returned your parent interview slips requesting an appointment on either Tuesday 16th October or Thursday 18th . Please note that they will ALL take place on the Oak site. A map will be inside the entrance hall to direct Acorn site parents to the correct room.

Half Term

School closes on Friday 19th October and re-opens on Monday 29th October at 8.55 a.m.

Modern Foreign Languages

All children in Years 3-6 are now studying French. We have adopted French as our main language and we will be continuing with this each year.

Friends of the School

There is a meeting of the Friends of the School on Tuesday 16th October at 2.00 p.m. in the Oak site library. Please come along to help us plan events for the rest of this year.

Health Promoting Schools

As part of our continued work to encourage children to eat more healthily, we are encouraging children to only eat healthy snacks at breaktime, on the Oak site. The Acorn site children already have free fruit as part of the government initiative. After half term the Oak site children will be asked to bring either cereal bars or fruit for their morning snack, or they can chose one of the healthy options from the tuck shop.

Letters for the fruit scheme on the Oak site went out two weeks ago. If you have not yet sent in the money and slip for your child, but would like them to have fruit at breaktime, please do so by the end of this week. (£4 for Nov-Dec half term).

Football

Can I please remind parents who have children attending any of the football sessions on the Oak site, that they do need to wear shin pads, to protect their legs.

Cycling

Year 4 will be learning about cycling safety next week.

Found

A ring was found in the reception classes last term and has not been claimed. It is likely to belong to one of the reception parents. Please contact Mrs Townsend in the office on the Acorn site if you think it may belong to you.
