Go 2 by 2 Our school has been selected to take part in an exciting new scheme to encourage children and families to choose healthier ways of travelling to school. It is called Go 2 by 2 and all children will receive a travel chart. Children can colour a brick on the path every time they use two feet to walk to school, have 2 families sharing a car journey or sit 2 by 2 on the bus. Children will receive a badge when they have coloured 10, 25, and 40 bricks on the path.
Please help your children to travel to school the healthy way and if it’s too far to walk the whole way to school, please park at least 10 minutes walk from school and walk the rest of the journey. I hope everyone enjoys taking part!
Please note we will be sorting out cycle sheds when the building work has completed. One is being provided as part of the project but it will not be enough for the whole school.
Football – Well done to the boys football team who were runners-up in the Year 4/5 competition last week.
A big thank you to all the parents who took the girls to the Rugby Town tournament on Saturday. It was a truly awful morning weatherwise. Well done to all the girls. The Year 3/4 team won their competition and the Year 5/6 team were runners-up.
Half term – School closes on Friday 28th May and re-opens on Monday 7th June.
Building Work – This will complete at the end of this term and the whole school will be on one site in September. The link between the school and the new building is still being completed which is making the school quite cold at the moment.
