Summer Fair

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our Summer Fair a success. We raised £2,200 which will be used this year to refurbish the library on the Oak site, to make it more suitable for a Primary School.

Acorn Site

Please can I remind parents that children are not allowed to bring bikes or scooters to school. Please enter the site by the pedestrian gate in Fareham Avenue and not the car park gates in St Johns Avenue.

Clarks Shoes

If your child has new shoes with toys in the heel, please can I ask you to make sure that the toys are removed before your child comes to school. Children are not allowed to bring in toys from home.

Consultation Sessions

Do not forget to come along to the consultation session in the Oak site hall, on Wednesday evening between 6.30 and 7.30 p.m. It is very important that the Local Authority and local councillors receive support for this project. This is something that all the staff in the school really want to happen as quickly as possible, especially the staff on the Acorn site. It is something that we want as a school and is not being imposed upon us by the Local Authority. Remember, we want it for the benefit of our children and we feel that moving onto one site is the best.

Staffing News

Mrs Holman has resigned and has now left the school. Mr Lloyd continues on sick leave as he is still unwell. He is being replaced by Miss Mistry.

I would like to welcome four new members of teaching staff to the school – Mrs Hughes (reception), Miss Mabey (Year 1), Miss Mistry (Year 3) and Miss Paton (Year 4).

FOPS – Car Boot Sale

A car boot sale has been organised for Saturday 22nd September. It will be held on the playground/tennis court area of the Oak site. If the weather is inclement it will still go ahead indoors. Car Booters may set up from 12 noon and selling will take place between 1.00p.m. and 3.00 p.m. Cost is £5.00 per car. Admission for buyers is free. There is no need to book a pitch, just turn up on the day please.

Safety

Please can I remind Acorn site parents that when you leave the building you must check that the door is closed behind you and also the playground gate.
