Sponsored Keep Fit
We will be holding a sponsored keep fit on Thursday 14th June. Each child will take part in ten keep fit activities and they will rotate round the different activities. The money raised will be used to refurbish the Oak site library in preparation for the changes that will be needed to make it into a whole school library.
Year 6 Residential
Year 6 will be going to visit Beaumanor Hall for three days immediately after half term.
Car Boot Sale
Members of the Friends of the School decided to postpone the car boot sale last Saturday. We will try to hold one a few weeks into the Autumn term
Plants Collection
Please remember to collect your plant orders between 11.00 and 12.00 on Saturday from the Acorn site car park. If you are unable to collect them please get someone else to do it for you. The school cannot accept responsibility for uncollected plants, which may be left there. With the number of youths on site they are likely to be damaged.
Term Dates
School closes on Friday 25 th May for half term (at the normal time) and re-opens on Monday 4th June.
Summer holiday – school closes at normal time on Friday 20th July.
Autumn term – Friday 31st August and Monday 3rd September will be staff training days. The children start back to school on Tuesday 4th September.
Class Photographs
These will be taken on Friday 25th May. Also photographs of the various sports teams will also be taken.
Vandalism
The school is suffering really badly with vandalism at the moment. It started before Easter and has continued. If you see youths on the school sites when they shouldn't be, please telephone the police and try to get photographic evidence if you can. This pointless vandalism is costing us a lot of money and time. We have had windows broken, gates damaged, electricity cables damaged, roof tiles broken and equipment damaged in the outdoor play area. The money that we waste on this could be spent on your child.
Dinner Money
Could I please remind parents that any cheques for dinner money should be made payable to Warwickshire County Council and not to the school. In September the cost of dinners will be increasing by 5p per day, to £1.60 (£8.00 per week).
