School Gates – Following another near miss, the car park gates on the Acorn site will now be locked during school start and finish times.  Parents attending Holly Lodge have already been informed.  The Oak site gates will also be closed during these times.

Bad Weather – During bad weather the temporary caretaker will clear a safe route from the pedestrian gates to the school doors.  Please use this safe route to prevent accidents.  Parents and children should only use the pedestrian access on the Oak site not the drive gates.
Please listen to the local radio stations or use the Warwickshire website for information on school closures should the need arise.

Healthly Schools – Our school has been awarded Healthy School Status for the next three years.  Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved with the work required to enable us to achieve this status.

Green Travel Plan – We have written our Green Travel plan.  A copy will be available in school and it will also be

put onto the school website in due course.

Recycling – The Rugby Borough Council have been into school and done assemblies on both sites to promote recycling.

Power Discovery Truck – e-on the fuel provider are bringing their Discovery Truck onto the Oak site.  Children in Years 5 and 6 will visit it in classes and its aim is to enforce the dangers of electricity. e.g wet hands around water, electricity pylons etc.

Christmas Events – Thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas events.  We raised £673 from the collections after the Christmas plays.  This was split between Macmillan Cancer Nurses and the Goodwill Children’s Home in India which our school has supported for many years.
The Christmas hampers were won by the families of:- 1st Ella Rogers in 5G,  2nd The Downing family (various classes)  3rd Charlie Gilroy RP  and
4th Ella Davies 2S.
