Swimming – Congratulations to all the children who won awards at the swimming gala last week (Yrs 4 & 6), and good luck to this week's entrants.
Football – Congratulations to the school football team for getting through to the semi finals of the Rugby Town Cup. They play Eastlands Primary School this week. We entered two girl's teams in the Rugby Town Girls tournament last Saturday. Both teams competed well and had an enjoyable morning.

Tag Rugby – Our team competes in the tournament today and if they reach the semi finals, will play at Rugby Lions before the match on Saturday.
Sportshall Athletics – Good luck to our team who complete in the final next week.
Parent's Evening
This takes place next week on either Tuesday 27th March from 3.30-6.00 p.m. or Thursday 29 th March from 5.00-8.00 p.m. Your child's work will be available for you to look at before your interview.
Staff Absence
Mrs Holman will be away until at least the end of term. Mrs Clark will be talking to 1H parents on parent's evenings. Miss Davies will be away until the end of term. 3D parent interviews will be cancelled and carried out when she returns. Mrs Robinson will continue to take 3D until Easter. Mr Lloyd is away until this Friday. If he does not return next week, I will speak to 4L parents on parents evenings. 4L parents should note that their children's books will be in the library, if this does happen and I will talk to parents in my office.
Other parents should note that if I do see 4L parents, I will not be available to speak to parents from other classes. If there is an issue, please make an appointment with Mrs Hall to see me.
Bingo Evening
Don't forget to come along this Friday to the family Bingo Evening at 6.00 p.m. (being organised by F.O.P.S.) in the Oak site hall.
K-Nex Challenge
Year 5 are taking part in a K'NEX afternoon this week. A team will then be chosen to take part in the K'NEX challenge next term.
Snacks
As part of our healthy eating campaign, can I please remind parents that children should not be bringing chocolate bars, including bars like mars, twix, snickers etc., as snacks.
Mobile phones & MP3 players
As previously advised these should not be brought into school. The school cannot be responsible for the security of these items. (They are not even allowed in secondary schools!) If your child has one please make sure that they do not bring it to school.
Comic Relief
Thank you to everyone who contributed. We raised £404.
Easter Competition
F.O.P.S. are running an Easter competition. Children are invited to decorate a hard boiled egg. Entry cost is 50p. There will be prizes for the various age groups. Please make sure your child's name is on their entry (somewhere!) and eggs must be returned to school by next Wednesday, 28th March. So get cracking!!
Handy hint: add salt to water when boiling to stop the shell breaking. Entries will not be returned.
End of Term
School finishes on Friday 30th March and re-opens on Monday 16th April. Children may bring in a toy or game on the last day to play with their friends. Please do not send expensive electronic games.
