Dear Parents
We have just received some very exciting news which I would like to share with you. The County Council have approved the idea of Paddox Primary School moving onto one site. This does not mean that it will definitely happen, but we very much all want it to happen. There will need to be a consultation period.
It may be useful at this point in time to share some facts with parents and to reassure you. Firstly if the school does come onto one site, it will be the Oak site. Many of you have seen the difference that the new corridors have made to the learning environment. This is the sort of quality modern learning environment that we could have for all of our children. There will need to be an extension to the buildings and some internal work done to make changes to the existing building. Any plans for moving to one site will include provision for Holly Lodge and Squirrels Pre School , as there is no intention of not including them in our plans.
If the move does go ahead there will be suitable changes to the organisation of the Oak site, to better meet the needs of the younger children and to ensure their safety. All these things can be achieved and I would urge parents to fully support this project. It really is exciting news and it is what needs to happen to the school.
We will keep parents informed as we receive further information.
