Phonic Fun and Funky Maths

It has been a very busy time at Paddox, we had a fantastic time having all the parents come to visit and watch our assembly and the children impressed us all with their wonderful singing. It means a lot when parents are able to come and join in with their children at school and we genuinely love having you all in, as do your children!

This week in Phonics we have been looking at recapping old sounds and digraphs whilst still pushing on with new ones. It is lovely to see how well your children are starting to blend and write independently.

In Numeracy, we have been looking at money which is always a tricky topic but your children have worked incredibly hard to try and recognise a range of different coins and order them appropriately.

For our pets topic, we have spent a lot of time talking to the children about their pets and what pets they would like to have. A lot of the children have been able to speak very confidently about their own and give detailed accounts of how they  look after their pets.

All in all, another great week in Early Years!
