In preparation for writing balanced arguments, the children had an excellent debate as a year group. They were given characters from ancient Greece and worked in teams to create their main points for opposing or proposing the motion. The teams decided on a 'speaker' and they helped to create cue cards for the debate. Then we enjoyed listening to both sides argue their point of view, with a 'Chairperson' to keep them in check! We definitely have some future politicians in the making!
