Spring Week 11

Mini beast hunting!

This week has been incredibly busy!

On Tuesday the children took part in school intra-sports sports events. We did marathon kids, infant agility and multi skills. There was some excellent teamwork and sportsmanship going on which was lovely to see.

Spruce and half of Pine enjoyed their trip to Holdenby House. While they were there the rest of us spent the day learning more about World War Two. We made our own Anderson shelters which proved to be very tricky – we hope you enjoyed finishing them off at home! We also learnt about propaganda posters and had a go at making some of our own.

On Thursday in Science we went into the outdoor area to go on a mini beast hunt. We looked in the outdoor habitat, but then found micro habitats to find mini beats – such as under logs, in leaf litter and in the bug houses. There were a lot of worms and woodlice to be found!

Finally, thank you to everyone who joined in the fun run after school on Friday.

Reminder:

Don’t forget – no school next Friday for Good Friday!
