This week Year 2 have been busy planning and writing letters to the Ringmaster in Dumbo to try and persuade him that he should let Mrs Jumbo free! We have worked really hard to put in different sentence types and extend our sentences with conjunctions that we have been learning to use. We have also been learning a new method for addition in Numeracy, using the column method for adding two 2-digit numbers together and carrying the tens. (Please see the schools calculation policy on the website for more information on this method!) In Science, we were sorting pictures of plants and animals into the right orders to create food chains.
