Harvest

Harvest assemblies at church

In preparation for our Harvest assembly, we thought about things that we are thankful for. The children came up with some lovely ideas - family, friends, food, a house to live in, a bed to sleep in, our school, toys and clothes. We are very lucky and grateful. The children drew pictures of things that they are thankful for and then wrote prayers to say thank you for all of these things. Well done to Leah, Isabel, Jacob and Aidan who read their prayers beautifully and clearly at the service and we hope you enjoyed it if you were able to attend.

We have also been enjoying The Tale of Peter Rabbit in Year 1 this week. We read the story, sequenced the events and then retold the story in our own words. The children have been working hard on their writing, thinking carefully about when to use finger spaces, capital letters and full stops. In Numeracy we have continued to work on our adding and subtracting skills using a number line. We solved some tricky problems involving missing numbers.
