3D Shapes
2D or 3D?
In numeracy this week Year One have been learning all about the differences between 2D and 3D shapes. We have discussed that a 2D shape is 'flat' and a 3D shape is 'fat'. We have learned the names of many common 3D shapes and talked about their properties, for example, we have been beginning to talk about the meanings of the words sides, faces and vertices.
In Discover, we have started to find out all about the Great Fire of London and why they might have happened. The children have enjoyed sequencing the events of the story and have pretended to be Samuel Pepys to write a diary entry.
