Following the half term holiday, this week Year 2 have been very busy learning about the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. They had a ‘moon landing’ party just like they did when it happened and celebrated, making decorations, flags and watched the video of Neil Armstrong taking the first steps on the moon. Later in the week, we used this to help us write what happened in chronological order to help with a News Report we are going to write next week. In Numeracy, we started learning about Fractions! We learnt about a half, a quarter and how to find those fractions of different amounts. In Guided Reading, we looked at the story of ‘Mr Wolf’s Pancakes’.
