Week 10 . . .

22.3.19 . . .

This week Year 2 have been very busy. In Literacy, we used the key features of an autobiography we learnt last week, to write our own autobiography about our lives. In Numeracy, we continued learning about how to measure length, including metres, cm and mm also considering what type of equipment we would use to measure different lengths. We also had a visitor, Florence Nightingale! She came in to teach use some interesting facts about the Crimean War. We also did some drama to re-enact what it would have been like to work in the hospitals. Our nurses also had a go at bandaging up our soldiers injuries and then we hot seated as characters to find out who they were and how they had become injured during the war. We also created collages using tissue paper and made our own lamps like Florence Nightingale used.
