Spring Week 6

Romance!

Spring Fever week has meant we’ve been very busy this week learning about lots of different topics! On Monday we looked at “Who am I?” which focuses on developing a positive self-image, on Tuesday the lesson was “I am a boy and you are a girl” which helped us to think about the similarities and differences between boys and girls. On Wednesday it was “What do I feel?” with a focus on appropriate touching. Thursday we looked at “Who is special to me?” where we thought about who was special to us and why. We also thought about how you can be friends with different people and how you can show them you like them. Finally, on Friday it was “What feels nice and what doesn’t?” which helped us learn about situations that can be pleasant or unpleasant and how we can manage those.

This week we switched to our new History topic of Shakespeare. We began with the film ‘Gnomeo and Juliet’ which we all really enjoyed! We read Romeo and Juliet (a shortened version of) to compare the two stories. We wrote a recount of the film and really focused on using time words to start sentences.

Reminder: World Book Day is the first Thursday back at school (1st March) – we can’t wait to see all the book characters you dress up as!

Have a great half term! See you all after the holidays!
