To begin with, a thank you to all of you who came to Douglas and Pine Assertive Mentoring meetings.

Mother’s Day services were wonderful, as usual. A special thanks to all those children who read poems during the service, they did a super job!

In Discover this week we wrote a romance story, using inspiration from “Romeo and Juliet” and “The Whisperer”. We concentrated on using conjunctions (and, because, but), capitals and full stops and capitals for names. We’ve also been learning about using apostrophes for possess (Bob’s house).

In Numeracy this week we have been learning about fractions of amounts, equivalence and money. We had to prove fractions and explain our reasoning.
