This week Year 2 have been learning about what is needed to write a good set of instructions! We followed instructions to make our own post-it note flowers as well as played some games to practice writing our instructions as a class. In the picture above, you can see Douglas class playing dominos before writing their instructions. After learning column method for addition last week in Numeracy, we have been learning how to use column method for subtraction this week. We have been subtracting 2 digit numbers involving exchanging the tens! (Please see the schools calculation policy on the website for more information on this method!) In Science, we were recapping food chains from last week and using that information to help us write about which habitats you would find different food chains in.
