Welcome to 2022 - A fantastic start!

We have had a very busy start to 2022 in Year 3 - Mr Goodbody, Miss Green and Miss Bainbridge couldn't be prouder of the children's resilience, hard work and achievements so far.

In Topic, we have been learning about what life was like in the Stone Age and researching our chosen areas ready to write a non-chronological report. We have looked at instruction writing and written our own instructions on 'How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth'; which were packed full of time adverbials, imperative verbs and numbered steps.

In Science, we have been learning about Rocks and conducted different experiments to find out the properties of Igneous, Metamorphic and Sedimentary rock types.  The children thoroughly enjoyed the experiments which included adding acid to the rock, finding if a rock is permeable and exploring its density.

We've had lots of children earning their green, bronze and silver leaves now for the 'Paddox Reward Tree' displayed in the hall which is a great achievement! Which class will get the first Gold leaf and when? Watch this space!

We can't wait to see what the rest of the term brings after a fantastic start - well done Year 3!
