Cheers!

Marvellous Mulled Wine (well, Blackcurrent Squash with Mulled wine spice!)

We were investigating what Henry VIII would have used in the Tudor period to keep his mulled wine nice and warm in our Science Investigations. We made Mulled Wine using blackcurrent squash, mulled wine spice, oranges, cinnamon and brown sugar. It was served warm in the Tudor period so we used boiling water in the squash.

We then created a fair test, wrapping a plastic cup in one layer of different materials to see which one was the best thermal insulator - which would keep the mulled wine warmest the longest.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a traditional Tudor drink.

On a side note, we have had some fantastic homework about the Tudors so thank you so much for all your hard work at home!
