Bringing the Amazon to Rugby!

We know we have a few cheeky monkeys in Year 5, but didn't realise that we also had a White-Fronted Parrot in our year group!

Thank you for all your hard work with the homework last week, which was to research different animals of the Amazon Rainforest. We had lots of fun playing Amazon Rainforest Top Trumps (Mr Patel obviously won!), looking at the drawings the children drew and learning more about the animals in lots of other ways - we even had a model Humming Bird with facts inside it.

Bethany created an information text about a White-Fronted Parrot, that, despite the name, has only a bit of white above it's beak. That wasn't the end of her homework, as Bethany's grandma has a White-Fronted Parrot called Skittles, and she bought it into school! Bethany fed it peanuts, as it chirped playfully for us!
