In Year 5, we have recently started a new topic of fractions. We started by recapping what a fraction is and some of our keywords. I wonder if they can remember any of these at home?!

This week we have focussed on adding fractions with different denominators. 

We needed to convert the denominators so that they are the same. This then allows us to add the numerators together and complete the calculation.

You could do some of these at home if you wanted to support you child.
