Year 6 have had a fantastic week this week, when we welcomed parents in for our Come and Learn session based on reading. The children demonstrated to the adults how they carry out a range of reading activities to stretch their knowledge and understanding of texts. Everything was based on the Greek myth, Perseus and Medusa. We wrote WhatsApp messages between two characters, and summarised the story in a tweet. Some of the children worked out the meanings of key words to create glossaries. Finally, we looked at the thoughts and feelings of key characters to make emotion charts and role on the wall character descriptions.
