Prayer Spaces

Please enter an introduction for your blog post here.

Last week we visited the Prayer Spaces in the hall to reflect and think about the word respect and what it means. This tied in with our school vision REACH, which stands for Respect, Encourage, Achieve, Care and Hard Work. Whilst we were there, we completed a variety of activities that involved us thinking about things or people we are thankful for, perhaps people that we wanted to say sorry to or forgive and we gave thoughts to those who are not as lucky as we are. The children were very sensible and came up with some lovely thoughts and ideas.

This week, we have been doing some work on doubling and adding in Numeracy. In Discover we had a think about what happened after the Great Fire of London. We decided that if we were in charge of rebuilding London in 1666, we would build the houses out of bricks and make sure that they weren't too close together.

We have all swapped over from Forest School to Food Technology or vice versa this week, and really enjoyed our first session. In Food Technology, as it was Pancake Day this week, we made pancakes of course! The children were delighted and took it in turns to help - even with the washing up! Obviously the best bit was eating them at the end...

Have a look at Mr Clement's Forest School blog to see what they got up to this week.

We hope you all have a lovely half term and we look forward to hearing what you have been up to when we are back.
