We have settled down well into Year 2. In Numeracy, we have been practising our partitioning skills and all things number! In Create, we started our topic The Circus and have been very busy looking at texts to do with our topic in Literacy. We read the book 'Leon and the Place Between' and wrote some super descriptions of  the Place Between. We read the poem 'The Magic Box' and wrote some of our own wonderful poems for our own Magic boxes that we created! We also started our new digital text of 'Dumbo' this week, we watched part of the film and had a great debate about whether Dumbo's mother should have been locked away by the ringmaster as you can see in the photo! Year 2 have also been working extremely hard to use cursive handwriting to improve their writing and are making great progress!
