Year 3 investigate 3D shapes

How would you group these ?

This week Year 3 have been looking at 3D shapes. We've learnt words like faces, vertices and edges and have even created some of our own using 2D shapes.

So how did you group them? Methods we used included: containing curved edges, having at least one square face, having fewer than 5 faces, prisms and containing 2 or more rectangular faces.

Next week we'll be going on our geography field trip to the disused railway line and having a tag rugby session at St Andrew's Rugby club so make sure you keep an eye on our blog!
