This week, we have launched our topic on the Ancient Maya. The children worked as historians to analyse pictures showing aspects of Maya life. As there were no photographs taken back then, children discussed the artists' interpretations of events. We also learnt about the Maya creation story and the Maya Gods (there were over 150 of them!). The children were interested to find out about the Maya rituals and they were able to compare Maya life with today's society.
