Still going strong!
Today we have had another active day! The children began the day with cereal/porridge followed by a cooked breakfast of sausages, beans, smiley faces and toast. We then went off to do our daytime activities.
Groups 1 and 5 went to Cym Idwal and enjoyed taking in the beautiful scenery and drinking the fresh mountain-stream water. They listened to the legend of 'Idwal', who the area was named after.
Group 2 did the BLT challenge and went gorge scrambling. The children did really well and showed great team work. They were praised for their listening skills.
Groups 3 and 4 went canoeing and played lots of games on the lake. During lunch, they built a camp fire to toast marshmellows. The highlight was definitely jumping in the lake at the end of the day!
In the evening, we were very excited to see Mrs Le Poidevin who made a 6-hour round trip to visit us! Mrs Le Poidevin had dinner with us and stayed for our evening activities. We were very grateful to see her and she even brought us doughnuts which we enjoyed outside in the sun.
Overall its been another great day and we look forward to more fun tomorrow!
