It's all in the Genes!
A Year 5 pupil sharing her baby photo in class.
As part of their science topic on life cycles, Year 5 have been learning about the different stages in the human life cycle.
The children learnt that half of their genetic material will come from their father and half from their mother. They discovered that the genes that make up our DNA are inside the cells that make up our body.
Year 5 learnt that our genes make us who we are and individual from everyone else - unless of course you are an identical twin!
We had great fun in class trying to guess which baby photo belonged to who and which features were obvious to recognise.
