Our new topic this term is Amazing Americas (we love a bit of alliteration!) where we will be exploring the land of North and South America. We kicked off our topic by bringing a bit of Brazilian Samba flair to the classroom where the children created floats for the Rio Carnival. Our floats were all technology themed, and included TV's, Keyboards, IPad's and even a rocket! We will be looking at North and South American artists, Georgia O'Keefe and Xul Solar, and creating some fantastic artwork in the style of these artists when we look at American landscapes (Georgia O'Keefe) and Buildings (Xul Solar). We look forward to learning about America!
