Well, what a very busy art week! We have been looking at ‘The Lost Words’ by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris. The beautiful words and stunning illustrations in the book have provided the inspiration for our art this week.

Year 5 were given three specific ‘lost words’ to focus on; wren, dandelion and willow. We have been creating drawings of wrens using oil pastels, painting dandelions and tomorrow we will also be sculpting willow tree trunks out of clay. The dandelions we painted using fine lines and water colours were wonderful. We hope the children have had a fabulous week!
