Welcome to Year 1!
In Year 1, we work hard to create a lasting love of learning and memories through ‘wow moments’ and experiences of the world around us. In Autumn term we use continuous provision to ensure the children thrive in their transition into year 1. Our topics include ‘The Rabbit Problem’, traditional tales, robots, Art Attack, The Great Fire of London, Where we live and Kenyan Safari. Some of the crowning moments in year one include: The rabbit hunt, our royal day (including a royal coronation and tea party), Victorian school day, walks around the local area and the re-staging of ‘The Great Fire of London’. In summer we take a trip to the local zoo to finish off our Kenyan Safari topic. This is always an amazing end to the year.
Come and see our super work for yourselves!
